Deb Battit brings more than 28 years’ experience in philanthropy to her role as Program Officer. Prior to coming to CFECT, she spent many years at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and before that, was Director of Member Services at the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, the state’s association of grant makers.

She earned a B.A. in English from McGill University and a Masters in Public Administration from UConn. She currently serves on the board of the CT Network for Children and Youth.

Deb works with the local nonprofit community in the Norwich area, as well as in Windham and Tolland Counties. She also manages the distribution of well over $1 million in scholarships annually.
