Sept. 16 Connecticut Council for Philanthropy Preparing for the General Election: A Conversation with Secretary Thomas, noon–1PM A conversation focused on the upcoming general election and issues relevant to the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.
Sept. 16 Catholic Charities Catholic Charities Appreciation Dinner Honoring Tony Sheridan. An appreciation dinner recognizing Tony Sheridan.
Sept. 18 SCADD “Unmasking Recovery”: SCADD’s 60th Gala, 5–9PM., Mystic Marriott, Groton. Celebrating SCADD’s 60th anniversary with keynote speaker Cris Carter; proceeds support treatment and recovery services.
Sept. 24 Eastern Connecticut Association of REALTORS Connecticut Sun Basketball Game/Fundraiser, Mohegan Sun. A portion of ticket proceeds benefits the Community Outreach Committee Emergency Fund and local charitable initiatives.
Sept. 26 Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s Eastern CT, 8AM–noon. An annual awareness and fundraising walk supporting the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease.
Sept. 26 FRESH New London 2026 Garden Walk for Food Justice, 9AM–2PM, FRESH New London Mercer Street Garden. A free 2-mile walk connecting five FRESH community gardens, followed by activities and wood-fired pizza at Mercer Garden.
Sept. 28 Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut Habitat Classic: Fore the 65, 8AM–4PM Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut’s first annual fall golf event.
Sept. 28 Fairview Fairview Golf Tournament Fundraiser, 10:30AM–5:30PM, Fox Hopyard Golf Club. A golf tournament benefiting Fairview.
Oct. 2 STEPS I Am Empowered Dinner & Fashion Show, 6:30–8PM, Ocean Beach Park, New London. A celebration of women and girls featuring STEPS participants in a fashion show, women-owned businesses and community organizations.
Oct. 2 Connecticut Council for Philanthropy Connect2026: United for Good, Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford. Annual conference bringing together Connecticut philanthropic and community leaders around current issues, partnerships and impact.
Oct. 8 United Way of Southeastern Connecticut United for Gemma Benefit Gala, 5:30–8:30PM, Mashantucket Pequot Museum. Benefits the Gemma Legacy Fund and the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center’s work addressing food insecurity in New London County.
Oct. 10 Riley Farm Rescue Run for Riley. Riley Farm Rescue’s charity team will participate in the Hartford Marathon and 5K, raising funds for food, shelter and medical care for rescued animals.
Oct. 16 New London Counseling Center Denim & Diamonds Gala, 6–10PM, The Barn of Nottingham. Fundraising gala supporting accessible mental-health care in the community.
Oct. 21 Connecticut Council for Philanthropy Affordable Housing 101, 9:30AM–3:30PM, Hartford. A Housing & Community Development Leadership Institute session covering the affordable-housing development process, key players and challenges.
