Program Officer, Staff
Deb Battit is Program Officer at the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, to which she brings more than 20 years’ experience in philanthropy. Prior to coming to the Community Foundation, she served in various roles in the Program, Strategy, and Communications departments at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving over more than 11 years. Before that, she was Director of Member Services at the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, the state’s association of grant makers.
Deb works with the local nonprofit community in the Norwich area, as well as Windham and Tolland Counties. She also manages the distribution of nearly $1 million in scholarships annually.
She is a graduate of McGill University, Montreal and is a former VISTA volunteer. Deb is a lifelong Connecticut resident and lives with her husband and two children in East Hampton.
