In 2019 the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation partnered with the Windham Women & Girls Fund to establish a three-year challenge, during which period all gifts to the fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $60,000 each year.
These gifts will then be funneled directly back into the community in the form of grants to area non-profits, whose work is critical for the well-being of women, girls and their families in the Windham area.
We are continuing to build the Fund, and as we enter Year Three of the Ossen Challenge we hope to raise another $60,000 to be matched dollar for dollar by the Ossen Foundation to go out in grants to area non-profits. Due to the pandemic, the sustained economic effects of our most vulnerable women and girls are on the rise. Our grants remain especially significant moving forward to 2021 and beyond, as we work to invest in the organizations and programs that lift up women and girls in the Windham Connecticut region.
