The Center for Housing Equity and Opportunity is a strategic partnership between seven nonprofits led by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and includes Connecticut College, Eastern Connecticut State University, United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, The Housing Collective, Partnership for Strong Communities, and Regional Plan Association.

The Center will facilitate a coordinated, regional response to address housing affordability in Eastern Connecticut including throughout New London, Windham Tolland Counties.

Based on a survey that went out to stakeholders in the region, workgroups have been established in the following categories:

  • Affordable Housing Preservation and Protection
  • Advocacy and Narrative Change
  • Affordable Housing Production and Capacity Building
